A FEW ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
HOW MANY DOGS ARE WALKED AT ANY ONE TIME?
We walk 6 - 9 dogs per dog walker/trip. Each pack is different and we assess the numbers depending on the energy levels and the individual dogs within the pack. Each grouping is based on our ability to maintain safe and effective control of each dog.
DO YOU ARRANGE PICKING UP AND DROPPING OFF THE DOGS?
Yes, we collect your dog from your home/place of work at an agreed time set by you and then return them after their walk.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN YOU COLLECT OR DROP OFF MY DOG?
No, we will arrange a pick-up and drop-off time with you. We will discuss appropriate access to your property to do this.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or, depending on the circumstances, to the nearest possible one.
WILL MY DOG BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES?
Yes, they will be under the effective control of a dog walker at all times. Your dog's safety is our first priority so we use GPS tracking collars until we feel confident that your dog will stay with the pack and has effective recall training.
WHERE DO YOU WALK?
We go everywhere, from parks, to the beach, to off the beaten track. Your dog’s safety is paramount, so we ensure they are away from traffic and only let off-leash when safe to do so. We also adhere to local council guidelines and are very careful to stay clear of areas with poisonous animal control operations.
MY DOG HAS NOT BEEN DESEXED CAN HE/SHE STILL BE WALKED?
We are happy to discuss this with you in the beginning and make a call on each dog’s case separately.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DOG DOESN’T GET ON WITH ANOTHER DOG?
Lets face it ... not all dogs are destined to become friends. We work hard to blend dogs who can socialise well together but if there are any substantial altercations we will ensure next time those dogs do not go on an adventure together. We do our best to match each dog’s personality with others for a safe and fun day out.
WHAT HAPPENS IN BAD WEATHER?
We go rain, hail or shine. And we know that in Dunedin, all of these can occur on any given day.
DO YOU WALK DOGS OFF THE LEAD?
Yes, with your signed consent.
DO YOUR SERVICES CATER FOR ALL DOG BREEDS?
Yes. We will try to best match your dogs breed with others depending on temperament. Big dogs and Small dogs can still hang out together.
